Paul is originally from Cornwall, England but now spends his time in Victoria, B.C. as a garden maker and nature connector who has a passion for pioneering and exploring the relationship between people and plants.
What’s your idea worth spreading?
People’s minds are crammed to the brim with ideas and stuff. Paul will share a process to help empty the mind allowing new and possibly life changing ideas to take hold and grow.
What is a significant accomplishment, and why is that important to you?
Creating healing gardens at health care facilities in which patients, staff and visitors can relax and feel the restorative power of nature. It is an amazing feeling to know that despite the fact that I maybe miles away people have somewhere to go to forget their pain, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of connecting with nature.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about nurturing people and communities to help them grow and thrive. I love exploring the relationship between people and plants and to help improve people’s lives one garden at a time. I enjoy researching, teaching and sharing my passion for the health and wellness benefits of horticulture and nature.
What do you want people to take away from your TEDx talk?
To leave the TEDx talks with a deeper appreciation of nature and its effects on mind wellness and creativity.
